Former President of the United States Kennedy signed the Foreign Assistance Act, in the year 1961, intending to provide aid to the countries, that are underdeveloped or developing countries, these countries are commonly known as third world countries (Hazzard, 2017). This act formed the United States Agency for International Development or USAID. The goal of this Agency is not only to provide assistance or aid to the developing countries but also the global development in long term. Such development includes both social and economic development, but the primary purpose of U.S. foreign assistance is to help the developing or underdeveloped countries (Hazzard, 2017).
